Phil and Patricia are accomplished certified professionally dance specialists with an impressive string of successful teaching track records. They have been sharing their passion of dancing with our Dance Club Blue Silver members for several years. Their years of teaching experience and dance expertise is evident in the dance performance and skills of our club students. Many of their students from Dance Club Blue Silver group classes have progressed to compete in the open competitions and have achieved great successes.

Both Phil & Patricia also enjoy coaching and teaching new talents and championship couples. They have been coaching competitive dancers and athletes from novice to championships level as well as preparing professionals for their professional exams for several years. They stay current in their dance knowledge including the current WDSF syllabus through continuous learning. Their quest for knowledge is always supplemented with learning from the greats of dancing and past world champions. In addition, as they judge competitions around the world, they also bring back the latest trends and knowledge in dancing to students. Phil and Patricia travelled to Europe over the last several years for their dance professional development and to keep their dance knowledge up to date.

Phil and Patricia are both WDSF World Championships Adjudicators, National Championship Adjudicators and Chairperson of Adjudicators. They regularly represent Canada judging pinnacle events of Standard and Latin, Showdance and Formation championships globally. These include WDSF Grand Slam Standard and Latin Championships, World Championships, World Showdance Championship, Formation Championships, WDSF Professional Division Super Grand Prix, Asian IMA Games and national championships. In Canada, Phil and Patricia are frequently Chairperson of Adjudicators at Canadian National Championships, provincial championships and local competitions.

Patricia was the Chairperson of Adjudicators at recent World Under 21 Standard and World Cup Ten Dance Championships which is a significant accomplishment for a Canadian. She was also one of the Adjudicators of the WDSF World Adult Ten Dance Championships which she saw Canada made history in achieving first place as well as of the WDSF Grand Slam Standard and Latin in 2022. Most recently, Phil was among one of adjudicators of the prestigious German Open Championships 2022.

In their days of competitive athletes, they have risen more rapidly than norm to top ranking position and have consistently achieved top honours in competitions. They have reaped many laurels and champions titles in Standard, Ten Dance and Latin. Amongst their laurels are Canadian Ontario Adult Standard and Ontario Adult Ten Dance Champions, North American Professional Rising Star Standard Vice Champions, Ontario Adult Latin, Canadian & North American Adult & Professional Standard and Ten Dance grand finalists and numerous championship titles.

They are certified and licensed to teach professionally and judge International Standard and Latin, American Rhythm and Smooth, Formation and Showdance competitions. Both have also attained their Scrutineer certification. Patricia also holds advanced certification in music and ballet and shares the beauty of dance music with the students through her dancing. Both Phil and Patricia hold master’s degrees from business schools and both hold professional accounting designations (CPA). They have been featured in various magazines, books, newspapers, radio talk shows and television shows. They have demonstrated their dance skills for the City in various prestigious functions. They are also strong supporters of charitable and community events and participate actively in many of these events regularly.

Patricia is the President of Canada DanceSport Professional Division. She also serves on the WDSF International Board as a Presidium Member, Chair of WDSF Adjudicators Qualifications Classification Committee and Chair of WDSF Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Commission.

Phil was an executive board member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA) of Ontario.

Both Phil and Patricia are competition organizers, World Championship event coordinator and have been recognised with the Award of Distinction from Ontario DanceSport for their outstanding contribution to dancing and dance community.
